HOME GROUPS AND PRAYER

We believe it’s important for Christians to live in community with each other, not just on Sundays, but throughout the week. To help this we have a number of small, informal groups that meet on Wednesday evenings (7.30-9pm) in different homes in the local area.  These groups offer us the opportunity to develop deeper relationships by studying the Bible and praying together. 

On the first Wednesday evening (7.30-9pm) of each month, all the groups come together at the Hockerill Christian Centre for a whole church prayer meeting.  We use this time to pray for the church, our community and the wider world.  We also spend some time focusing on the work of missionaries or projects we support across the world.

Twice a year we devote ourselves to a special Week of Prayer with a number of different prayer events happening throughout the week.  Our next Week of Prayer will be from 3^rd to 9^th March 2024.

CAFÉ CONNECT

Café Connect takes place at the Hockerill Christian Centre from 10am to 12 noon every Thursday. It’s an opportunity to be refreshed by connecting with others from the church and beyond.  We serve coffee and cake and it's a good time to chat, read the newspaper, and play pool or table tennis.

MEN AND WOMEN'S BREAKFASTS

At 8:30am on the first and second Saturdays of each month (men on the first Saturday and women on the second), we meet at Hockerill Christian Centre for breakfast, Bible study and prayer.  This is a time when we specifically focus on applying our faith to our everyday lives, as well as giving an opportunity to build relationships and pray together.
